The Old Santa Fe Inn is a first class hotel situated 60 miles from Albuquerque Support Airport. Santa Fe is an age-old place, steeped in the history, traditions, and aesthetics of three different peoples, Indian, Spanish and Anglo. The place is overflowing with natural beauty and is set in a unique location at the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Its narrow, winding streets, soft rounded garden walls and post and lintel adobe structures are distinctive architectural forms that have survived for hundreds of years. In your mind's eye, you could be in old Mexico or Colonial Spain. Enjoy lounging in leather chairs by the fireplace in the spacious reception room, relaxing in the library with a good book, or breakfasting by the fireplace in the dining room. The rooms are endowed with furniture that is hand made in New Mexico by craftsmen who are often third and fourth generation wood workers and carvers. Many of the furnishing, fabrics, and rugs being used are adapted from the Museum of New Mexico's collection of local antique furniture and textiles. Willard Clark wood block prints decorate the walls and take you back to Santa Fe scenes from the 1930s. Traditional kiva fireplaces and cozy sitting areas grace many of the rooms.
